Kansas Firefighter Motorcycle License Plate Authorized By Legislature
The 2006 Kansas Legislature authorized the development of a Kansas Firefighter Motorcycle License Plate. Firefighters may call Ms. Kelly Horton at 785-296-7044, to reserve a plate number. The plate will be sent to the Firefighter’s local County Treasurer’s office, reserved in the Firefighter’s name. Firefighters may make application for the Firefighter Motorcycle License Plate, by contacting their local Fire Chief’s Office and requesting a Firefighter License Plate Certification form. Firefighters may present the signed form to their local County Treasurer’s tag office to receive their Firefighter Motorcycle License plate. A certification form must be presented annually, at the time of vehicle registration renewal, to maintain the Firefighter Motorcycle License Plate.
Fees associated with this plate include a one time $40.00 personalized plate fee, a $.50 reflectorized plate fee, and a $5.00 county service fee.
